The Golden State Warriors opened free agency with a bang, re-signing Draymond Green to a four-year contract worth $100M. While the deal was reportedly agreed upon within minutes of free agency opening, it could not be officially signed until just a few days ago. In a press release on Saturday, the Warriors made the deal official, writing the following:

"The Golden State Warriors have re-signed forward Draymond Green, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released. Green, 33, was named to his franchise-record eighth career All-Defensive Team in 2022-23 after posting regular season averages of 8.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.01 steals and 31.5 minutes in 73 games (all starts). In 12 postseason games (nine starts), he tallied averages of 9.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.50 steals and 1.00 blocks in 30.6 minutes, helping the Wariors win their NBA-record 19th consecutive Western Conference playoff series with a First Round victory over the Sacramento Kings. An 11-year NBA veteran, Green is a four-time NBA All-Star and has earned two All-NBA nods along with the 2016-17 Defensive Player of the Year Award. He owns career averages of 8.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.36 steals and 1.02 blocks in 28.8 minutes over 758 games (608 starts), helping Golden State to four NBA championships and six NBA Finals appearances in the last nine seasons."

The release also included some of Green's all-time Warriors ranks, which are amongst the greatest players in franchise history. Excited to welcome Green back, the Warriors officially made the announcement that they had re-signed the veteran forward.
