Zion Williamson's Status vs. Golden State Warriors Revealed

The New Orleans Pelicans are set to face the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, and star forward Zion Williamson is being listed as questionable with a right quad contusion. Williamson missed the Pelicans’ last game against the Sacramento Kings, which came after he left their previous game against the LA Clippers after playing just 19 minutes.

While health has been a major issue for Williamson throughout his career, it hasn’t been as big of an issue for him this season. Even having missed one game so far with this quad contusion, Williamson has missed just seven games all this season. Not all of these were due to injuries, as several of these missed games were back to back situations or for personal reasons.

Availability has been the primary issue for Williamson to start his career, as his production has been off the charts each time he has been healthy and available. While that production is down a bit this season, as Williamson is averaging a career-low 21.8 PPG, his numbers are still very good.

The Pelicans are looking to be a playoff team in the Western Conference this season, as they currently sit a half-game above the play-in picture. This makes every game important for New Orleans, especially this one against the Warriors, who are looking to chase down teams like the Pelicans in the standings.
