The NBA Season is long in many ways for many different teams. For the Wizards, they are looking forward to the 2024 NBA Draft. As a matter of fact, that may be what they’re playing for as they are hoping and needing to get a top draft pick next summer. For the Orlando Magic, they have been building for years now. There has come a point in time where they had to ask themselves should they be building in stone or a source material that isn’t quite durable to calculate the cost and save some money. As good of a start as the Orlando Magic have gotten off too, they went from being second in the East to now fourth as they are continuing to slide in the standings. Both teams will need a win tonight.

The Orlando Magic have stocked up on a lot of great pieces over the years. That helps them tremendously in situations such as the one they are currently in - dealing with injuries. Markelle Fultz have been banged up for the majority of this season. Jalen Suggs too is now dealing with a lingering injury. If Suggs isn’t able to go, this gives the Wizards a great opportunity to really double down and zero in on Paolo Banchero. He is the engine to this ship in Orlando. If they can pester him defensively, and rebound well in this game, they will have a great shot and defending their homecourt tonight in The District.
