Marvin Bagley’s Body Of Work Thus Far

Making trades in the NBA is one of the best things that can happen in the league. It is always good to see player movement in this game. It offers some excitement as well as something to look forward to for both the players and their new teams. What is most important is how will a player respond to the new change of scenery? How will they adjust to their new environment?

The addition of Marvin Bagley has been an addition the Washington Wizards can and should feel good about thus far. They should feel proud of the body of work Marvin Bagley has been able to show. They should feel proud to have him as a part of their young team who can and should he a key piece in the future of this franchise.

For this season as a whole, Marvin Bagley was averaging 11 points per game along with five rebounds per game. Those numbers aren’t bad. However, playing in Detroit with the Pistons, you would think that he would be averaging more than that. Now with the Wizards, in just three games, Bagley is averaging 18 points per game along with 10 rebounds.

That is a huge jump from the Detroit days. Now that he is a Wizard, he seems like he is on track to being the player he was expected to be. He seems like he is on track to being the player he ought to be. The need is here as Daniel Gafford was the only true big man on this Wizards roster. Marvin Bagley has exceeded expectations already within just three games as a member of the Washington Wizards.
