Three Takeaways From Wizards Loss To Bulls

As the NBA regular season reaches it's final moment, the Washington Wizards are trying to find some positives within their negatives. The Wizards have had some tough times and moments throughout this whole season. It appears that Jordan Poole may have been shut down for the rest of the season as he didn't play in this game. With that being the case, this time allows others to prove their worth. That is just what happened in this game tonight despite the loss.

The Wizards fell just three points shy of getting the victory tonight as the loss 129-127. That may have been a part of their plans as they are hoping to secure the number one overall pick in this year's NBA Draft. Tonight, there were some bright spots within the team. Here are three building blocks the Wizards can continue to build upon for next season.

Three Takeaways From Wizards Loss To Bulls

1. Deni Avdija Shines

No doubt, the Washington Wizards are leaning upon Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole. There is so much riding on their shoulders. The need for a third star has become an urgency for the Wizards. Deni is growing every game and tonight proved so once again. Deni provides an overall game where he can help in multiple ways. That doesn't go unnoticed and shall provide the Wizards with a lot of help for years to come.

2. Johnny Davis Stretching The Floor

Johnny Davis hasn't had many opportunities to show what he can do thus far in his NBA career. So far, Davis appears to be a defensive-minded player who can guard multiple positions and looks to attack the basket offensively. He shines in the open court within a fast-paced offense. In this game, he made four out of five three-pointers. He was supposed to be the replacement for Bradley Beal. If he can continue to stretch the floor the way he did in this game, Davis for sure will be a very important piece for the Wizards as he gains more experience.

3. Tristan Vukcevic Has Potential

The Wizards have been fairly thin on the frontcourt of their roster this season. Tristan Vukcevic has shown the ability to stretch the floor in this game. That is certainly a key factor that every team in the league wants for their roster. He has a lot of potential, especially with the size he has standing at 6'10. However, he has to improve his ability on the boards. Rebounding has been something the Wizards struggled with all season. There is some hope and potential within Tristan Vukcevic. However, he has to fight harder on the glass if he wants a regular role within the rotation.
