Ravens defensive end Brent Urban has torn ACL, out for season

Thursday July 31st, 2014

The Baltimore Ravens' 2014 fourth-round pick won't be making his NFL debut until at least 2015.

Head coach John Harbaugh told reporters Thursday that Brent Urban, a defensive end out of Virginia, tore his ACL during practice Wednesday.

Urban wasn't the only Raven to go down with a season-ending injury. Cornerback Aaron Ross tore his Achilles during a conditioning test last week. The Baltimore Sun, via ProFootballTalk.com, reported that fellow rookie defensive lineman Timmy Jernigan was injured on the same play as Urban, though it was not considered serious.

Urban made 40 tackles last season as a senior at Virginia, including 1.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss.
