Kevin Hanson joins SI for the 2019 season. His fantasy rankings have placed him in the Top 20 in each of the past two seasons among all the industry experts tracked by FantasyPros.com, and he has been in the Top 25 in six of the past eight years.

Check out more of Kevin’s rankings: QBRB, WR, flex, DST and kicker.

TE Start of the Week: Austin Hooper, Atlanta Falcons (at ARI)

A match made in heaven? No tight end has scored more fantasy points than Austin Hooper this season. And no team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season than the Cardinals.

Scoring in only one game (twice), Hooper’s 34 receptions and 363 yards are both team highs. In addition, only Julio Jones (44) has been targeted more than Hooper (42) among Atlanta’s pass-catchers. That volume has led to consistent production as Hooper has a minimum of six catches and 56 yards in four of five games this season.

Except for Tyler Eifert’s dud last week, the Cardinals had allowed a top-three fantasy finish to their opposing tight end in each of the first four weeks—T.J. Hockenson (6/131/1), Mark Andrews (8/112/1), Greg Olsen (6/72/1) and Will Dissly (7/57/1).

TE Sit of the Week: O.J. Howard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. CAR)

Like many other analysts, I expected Howard to have a breakout season, but he’s been a major disappointment.

The third-year tight end has just 11 catches for 141 scoreless yards through the first five weeks of the season and he’s coming off a 1-for-10 game on two targets last week. The fourth tight end off the board in drafts this summer, Howard has only scored the 31-most fantasy points at the position.

In his first matchup against the Panthers (Week 2), Howard had zero targets. Even in a week with four teams on bye, it’s better to take a wait-and-see approach as he could be utilized more as a blocker in Week 6.
