Colin Kaepernick’s Reported Jets Interest Sparks Passionate Pitch From Skip Bayless

The debate over Colin Kaepernick and a potential return to the NFL has cooled off drastically since he hasn’t received many opportunities for a chance at a comeback. But it appears the former 49ers quarterback has stayed ready, and is looking for a chance, even after being out of the league since after the 2016 NFL season.

But after it was first revealed that Kaepernick himself told NFL reporter Jordan Schultz that his agent reached out the Jets following the injury to Aaron Rodgers, the buzz has grown once again.

Colin Kaepernick’s agent reportedly reached out to the Jets following the season-ending injury to Aaron Rodgers.

One name who appears to be publicly advocating for Kaepernick receiving another NFL shot is host of FS1’s Undisputed, Skip Bayless. The outspoken media personality unloaded a pitch explaining why he believes Kaepernick can still play.

It concluded with Bayless admitting that he doesn’t believe the Jets will give Kaepernick a shot after Rodgers’s injury, but that he “absolutely” thinks he can still play “right here, right now.”

It does appear Bayless is correct, as the Jets are not pursuing Kaepernick to address their immediate need for quarterback depth, according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.
