Iowa State’s 30–10 Big 12 conference win over Cincinnati last Saturday proved costly for Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce.

Kelce, who is a Cincinnati alum, lost a bet to Brad Gee, who is Kansas City’s vice president of football communications and an Iowa State grad. As a result, Kelce had to sport the headgear of the Cyclones mascot, Cy, during a press conference on Friday.

This is the second time this week an NFL player lost a bet and had to dress up in the gear of the rival school. First, it was Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who dressed up as a leprechaun to pay off the bet of teammate Julian Okwara. St. Brown attended USC, which lost 48–20 to Okwara’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish last Saturday in South Bend.

Expect the trend of embarrassing payoffs of bets across the NFL to continue, all in good fun, of course.
