Commanders’ Jahan Dotson Makes Recruiting Pitch to Cowboys’ Micah Parsons

In this story:
Amid the Washington Commanders’ hiring of Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as the team’s new head coach, Washington wide receiver Jahan Dotson took to social media to do a bit of recruiting of Dallas’ best defensive player, Micah Parsons.
In a social media post that was borderline tampering, Dotson referenced a quote that Micah Parsons made in early January as he attempted to recruit his former teammate at Penn State.
“He might take me with him, you never know,” Parsons said at the time regarding Quinn’s future.
Dotson took a screenshot of the headline with that quote from Parsons and said, “We welcome you with open arms brotha.”

Parsons has one guaranteed year remaining on his rookie contract, but Dallas has the option to pick up his fifth-year option, which the franchise will most certainly do.
Parsons will become an unrestricted free agent in 2026 at the earliest, and that’s only if Dallas doesn’t strike a long-term extension with its star linebacker.
All this was from Dotson was a joke, but if Parsons ever tried to force his way out of Dallas, perhaps Washington could be seen as a destination.
Don’t count on it though.
