In this story:

The Bears are on the move with their second pick (60th overall) of the second-round.

Three picks after selecting Iowa center Logan Jones, they traded the 60th pick to the Titans for pick 69 (in the third-round) and 144 (in the fifth round).

Could this move have been planned all along today? In an attempt to add another day three pick? Maybe. I don't really think that was the case, though. It strikes me as more of a panic move after they were sniped for a potential target they were rumored to have their eye on.

The board didn't exactly fall their way in the second round

While the first night of the draft couldn't have gone much better for Chicago, the same cannot be said for the second round. There was a massive run on defensive linemen leading up to the Bears' two draft picks late in the second.

They were still within striking distance of keeping Fighting Illini edge rusher Gabe Jacas in-state, the Patriots traded up to pick 55 and scooped him off the board two picks before they were on the clock.

They still desperately need to improve their defensive line, and now have one more late-round opportunity for a dart throw.

Who might still be on the board at pick 69?

The Bears could have a wide net of players that they're open to with the 69th pick. That would make sense why they were willing to take a short jump back.

Personally, I hope University of Oklahoma defensive tackle Gracen Halton is their desired target. He would make the sting of just missing out on a few standout edge rushers burn a lot less.

They could also have their eyes on a cornerback, with some quality talent still on the board there. Tennessee cover man Jermod McCoy would be an elite addition in the third round. Texas corner Malik Muhammad would also be a great value at this point in the draft.
