CINCINNATI — Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders gave another reason for the NFL to schedule Bengals-Chiefs as the 2023 NFL Kickoff Game.

Saunders got tired of people picking teams like the "funky-ass" Bengals to beat them this season in comments after the Super Bowl.

"Man, I remember being doubted," Saunders said to Aaron Ladd. "I remember being doubted every game. I remember being picked against every game. I remember them saying the funky-ass Bengals was gonna beat us four times. I remember them saying we couldn't stop Jalen Hurts. I remember all of that s***. And now, they're gonna remember that I'm a two-time champ."

Saunders is a rotation player on the Chiefs' defensive line.

He tallied 4 tackles (1 for loss) and 1 QB hit this postseason. From Patrick Mahomes Sr. to Saunders, Kansas City just can't stop thinking about their biggest AFC rival.
