Joe Burrow on Ja'Marr Chase's Back Injury: 'We'll See'

The Bengals quarterback has returned to MVP form in recent weeks.

CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow didn't want to dive into Ja'Marr Chase's lingering back soreness as the latest game week rolls on for Cincinnati. Burrow and Chase have been one of the best QB-WR duos in the NFL this season.

"Yeah, I don't know, we'll see," Burrow said about his top weapon's status. "We'll see as the week goes. I don't really have an answer."

Chase appeared to rough up his back on the deep shot in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Bills, but he was able to stay in for the rest of the contest.

Burrow is leaving it up to his top receiving option when it comes to this week's game against Houston—one of their only remaining opponents on the slate with a .500 record or worse.

"Let him do his thing," Burrow said about Chase. "If he feels like he can go then I'm gonna trust him, and he doesn't, then I'm going to trust him as well. So we'll see as the game gets closer."

Chase did not practice during the media viewing portion on Wednesday.
