Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins Love Joe Burrow's Toughness: 'That's a Tough Motherf*****'
CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins had great things to say about Joe Burrow's toughness in the quarterback's best game of the 2023 season.
The two wide receivers combined for 15 catches, 169 yards, and one touchdown on Sunday in the 31-17 road win over San Francisco. Burrow took a nasty hit in the game from Fred Warner and his reaction stood out to Chase.
"I actually made a comment on that play," Chase said. "I was like, 'Damn that's a tough motherf*****.' A quarterback taking hits like that from linebackers. All-Pro linebacker at that. One of the best linebackers in the league. So take a hit like that, you bounce right up and keep going. That's what he does."
Higgins has fought through his own pain this season and just had his second-best outing of the year as Cincinnati returns home for a night affair next Sunday.
"He was flying," Tee said about Warner on the Burrow hit. "He's a hard hitter, so just for him to be able to stay in there and follow through with the throw. Just the type of player he is."
Burrow has shredded some tough defenses over the three-game winning streak.
