Tee Higgins Discusses Contract Extension, Joe Burrow: 'Playing With Joe Makes My Job Easier'
CINCINNATI — Tee Higgins is enjoying his offseason break as he appeared on The Pat McAfee Show this week discussing Joe Burrow and his own looming contract extension.
The Bengals wide receiver definitely wants to stay in Cincinnati and feels the love from the organization.
"Yeah right now I'm just preparing for the season," Higgins said on the show. "I'm not really worried about the contract. Obviously, I want to get a deal done but I let my agent handle that and you know right now just for me getting my body right for next season."
Higgins noticed the firm support Duke Tobin gave in regards to keeping him on the roster when he spoke at the 2023 NFL Combine.
"It was good to hear them say that," Higgins said. "It made me feel like they want me here, man. Hopefully, we can get the deal done."
It's training season for playmaker, who had some fun on a few vacations before expelling the "toxins" recently.
"Got my little vacations out the way so just started training," Higgins said. "First day killed me had to get all the toxins out, but playing with Joe (Burrow) makes my job easier. You know what I'm saying.
Some well-earned rest for Higgins who is fresh off a 74-catch, 1,029-yard season that included 7 touchdown receptions.
