Jake Browning Crashes Tyler Boyd's Media Session With Praise For Wide Receiver: 'A Big Unsung Hero'

Cincinnati ended the season with a W on Sunday.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Jake Browning had to shout out his locker mate as the Bengals season winds down.

Cincinnati wide receiver Tyler Boyd was in a scrum with reporters when Browning jumped into the mix to offer up some great words about Boyd as he enters free agency following more than five years with the Bengals.

"My locker mate the whole year," Browning said about Boyd. "A big part of helping me bounce back when I throw three picks in a game. And I think underrated part of the whole locker room, the receiver room, we got a ton of talent there, but a big unsung hero of the locker room. And I hope he's back, but wherever he goes lucky to have him in the locker room."

The veteran wide receiver loved the moment and appreciated his teammates.

"It just shows the respect man," Boyd said about the moment. "I done been here a while you know and I always been that same person each and every day walking in here. Whether I had a terrible game, a good game, or a game where I didn't have any looks. I have always been that guy to help support guys and just always been true to myself. I'm an authentic guy and I will always be that person. Because when times get rough, that's when guys show they true colors and I will always keep my true colors under the lights whether they are on or off."

Boyd doesn't know what the future holds but made it clear he would love to return as a Bengal in 2024.

“I don’t know what I’m going to be doing or what my future holds," Boyd said. "The season is over. I spent my whole career here. I’ll never not keep them in mind or not want to come back. I’ll play it by ear. I’m glad to be a part of such a prestigious team.”
