Here's What Clyde Edwards-Helaire Said to Ja'Marr Chase During Emotional Conversation After AFC Championship Game
CINCINNATI — Ja'Marr Chase and Clyde Edwards-Helaire were teammates for two seasons at LSU, but their teams went head-to-head last week in the AFC Championship Game.
Ultimately, the Bengals beat the Chiefs 27-24 in overtime, advancing to Super Bowl LVI.
Edwards-Helaire had an emotional conversation with Chase after the game.
“Not too many opportunities to go up there and get that sh--. Hey, we went up there, go get that bro. Go get that," Edwards-Helaire said. "I said, ‘Aye, you gonna be the greatest receiver to ever do this sh--.’ Don’t ever let anybody tell you nothing different. Go get you a ring, bring that sh-- back home and handle business."
Tears were rolling down Chase's face by the end of the exchange.
