Is Penn State OT Olu Fashanu a Perfect Fit For Cincinnati Bengals?
One NFL Draft analyst believes Fashanu is the top offensive tackle in this year's class.
CINCINNATI — The Bengals could take an offensive tackle in the first round of this year's NFL Draft.
They have the 18th pick and have already brought in Amarius Mims and Troy Fashanu for visits.
What about Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu? Could he be the pick if he somehow fell to the Bengals in the first round?
Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus believes Fashanu is the best offensive tackle in this year's class.
"Fashanu has the best footwork of any offensive lineman I can remember entering the draft for a long time," Monson said. "I think he has the best pass protecting skillset of any offensive lineman entering the draft in a long time."
The Bengals obviously want high-end pass protection for Joe Burrow. They're going to throw the ball early and often.
Fashanu is one of the most athletic offensive linemen in this draft. He's expected to be picked before the Bengals are on the clock, but if he does somehow fall to them, it would be a great fit.
