Bengals Meet Virtually with Georgia Offensive Tackle Warren McClendon

Cincinnati needs some help in the offensive trenches.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals met with Georgia offensive tackle Warren McClendon ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Justin Melo reported the meeting.

McClendon is the consensus 187th-ranked player overall and is Dane Brugler's 15th-ranked tackle with a sixth-round projection.

"McClendon sees things quickly and plays with strong, physical hands. But with only average recovery balance, he has a small margin for error with his set points and technique," Brugler wrote in his draft guide. "He is an average-twitch position blocker with little upside, but a chance to be a versatile tackle-guard backup."

The right tackle has started for three years and didn't allow a sack over the past two seasons.

The #Patriots recently met with Georgia OT Warren McClendon, per @JustinM_NFL.

If NE is OK with Reiff at RT, McClendon (6’4” 306lbs) could be a quality depth piece & an eventual starter.

He’s a projected 6th rd pick via @_mockdrafts.
