Look: Bengals Defense Worst Team in NFL at Stopping Big Plays/Stuffing Offenses

Cincinnati's defense was its biggest issue in 2023.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals' defense this past season was abysmal, especially zooming in on the explosive play prevalence throughout the campaign.

According to Tru Media, the team ranked dead last in explosive play rate allowed and was bottom three in stuff rate as one of the biggest boom or bust units in the league (t-12th most takeaways).

Outside of Trey Hendrickson and DJ Reader, most of the defense played pretty poorly throughout the season as Cincinnati looks for the youth movement to take a big leap in 2024.
