CINCINNATI — The Bengals could address the tight end position in a variety of ways this offseason, including free agency.

Would veteran Gerald Everett be an ideal target?

He had 51 catches for 411 yards and three touchdowns for the Chargers last season. Everett has had at least 48 receptions, 400+ yards and three scores in each of the past three seasons.

Fantasy football analyst Ian Hartitz believes it would be a good fit with Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

It's worth noting that the Bengals could've pursued Everett following their run to Super Bowl LVI, but the veteran signed a 2-year, $12 million contract with the Chargers.

The 29-year-old is projected to sign a one-year $5.5 million deal in free agency according to PFF's salary cap expert Brad Spielberger.

The Bengals could bring back veterans like Tanner Hudson, Drew Sample and Mitch Wilcox, but they'll certainly need to add to the tight end room this offseason.
