Joe Mixon on Bengals Potentially Cutting Him: 'That's Clown Behavior'

Mixon has spent the first seven seasons of his career in Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI — Bengals running back Joe Mixon doesn't expect to be cut. 

The 27-year-old responded to a tweet that said the team planned on moving on from him this offseason. 

"Y'all said this last year too," Mixon tweeted. "That's clown behavior."

It's worth noting that the account that he responded to is just a rumor account and it isn't a legitimate report. 

Mixon is due a $3 million roster bonus on March 17 and has an $8.85 million cap hit for 2024. The Bengals would clear $5.8 million in cap space if they parted ways with the former Pro Bowler. 

It's unclear what the Bengals will decide, but they'll have to make a decision by March 17. 

Mixon ran for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns in 2023. Check out his tweet below:
