Bengals Fanatic Dan Hurley Leads UConn Basketball To 2023 National Title Victory

CINCINNATI — UConn head basketball coach Danny Hurley is a national champion after his team took out San Diego State 76-59 on Monday night.

The big-time Bengals fan led his Huskies to double-digit wins in every NCAA Tournament game to seal the school's fifth national championship.

He said he's been a fan of the Bengals since their Freezer Bowl win over the Chargers on Jan. 10, 1982. Hurley famously went viral for his reaction to the Bengals' AFC Championship victory last year.

UConn has now won a national championship in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s.
