'S*** Sad!' Buffalo Bills DB Damar Hamlin Fires Back at Antonio Brown

Former NFL receiver Antonio Brown made some inappropriate jokes about Damar Hamlin on X and the Buffalo Bills safety wasn't having any of it.

Former NFL receiver Antonio Brown has often been in the news for the wrong reasons lately, and his latest stunt to poke fun at Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin didn't take long to draw a response.

Brown made a post on X in response to another person making a post asking "a fictional character's death that you have not gotten over." Brown posted a picture of Hamlin and tagged him in it.

Just over 30 minutes later, Hamlin had an explicit response and took aim at what Brown has become since his playing career came to a close. He also noted Brown has been reaching out to him on social media through direct messages.

Dec 2, 2018; Pittsburgh, PA, USA; Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown (84).

"You just [direct message] me on Monday?" Hamlin wrote on X. "Guess you playing lame games on Twitter with my situation because I ain’t DM you back. I pray God don’t ever let me turn into a burnt out old head like you... I used to look up to you damn near s*** sad [for real]. Talk bout a clone bring the real AB back!"

Brown was referring to Hamlin's near-death experience in the 2022 season. On Jan. 2, 2023, Hamlin went into cardiac arrest after making a tackle on Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins. The Bills' medical staff had to administer CPR for several minutes before getting his heartbeat back, and he was taken in an ambulance to a local hospital. The game was canceled after what happened to Hamlin.

Hamlin went on to make a full recovery, though he played sparingly as the Bills stayed relatively healthy last season at safety.

Regardless of whether Brown was trying to make a joke, poking fun at someone coming within an eyelash of death was something that was never going to sit well with Hamlin, and it's just the latest chapter in the former receiver making questionable posts on social media after his actions on and off the field effectively ended his career.
