Stefon Diggs Paid A Lot of Money To Get His New Texans’ Jersey Number

Diggs is wiling to pay up for his fashion fits

Former Bills WR Stefon Diggs caught 445 passes for 5,372 yards in Buffalo wearing No. 14. Recently traded to the Texans, Diggs decided it was time for a number change as well.

But the number 14 he wore in Minnesota and Buffalo currently belongs to the Texan’s Alex Bachman. Instead, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports that Diggs is moving on from 14 and reportedly asked new teammate, safety Jimmie Ward, for jersey No. 1. The unwritten rule when seeking a number worn by another player is to offer something of value. Diggs is not opposed to spending cash for his premium fashion taste, and the stylish No. 1 he’ll wear in Houston will reportedly cost him $100,000.

Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward

Ward followed Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans to the Texans last season. The pair were together in San Francisco prior to that, where Ward wore No. 20.

The cash Diggs is shelling out probably would buy him plenty of fashionable outfits, but 100 large apparently is the price for a new number.
