Bills Beware: Aaron Rodgers Trade to Jets is Now Official

The Buffalo Bills once again have a Hall of Fame quarterback to worry about in the AFC East, as Aaron Rodgers has officially been traded to the New York Jets.

The Buffalo Bills are still getting used to life without a legendary quarterback terrorizing their division in the AFC East.

But now, after weeks of speculation, they're going to have to deal with it all over again.

The New York Jets and Green Bay Packers officially came to an agreement on Monday that will send all-time great Packers quarterback and future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers to New York for a slew of draft picks, per multiple reports.

Here's the trade compensation:

Jets receive:

- QB Aaron Rodgers

- No. 15 pick in 2023

- Fifth-round pick in 2023 (No. 170)

Packers receive:

- No. 13 pick in 2023

- Second-round pick in 2023 (No. 42)

- Sixth-round pick in 2023 (No. 207)

- conditional 2024 second-round pick

The Packers and Jets will swap first-round picks for Thursday's draft, as Green Bay moves up two spots to No. 13 while the Jets fall two spots to No. 15.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen has clearly heard all the rumors building up to this point, especially since he's spent some time on the golf course with Rodgers this offseason. He had a funny response when asked by former NFL receiver Brandon Marshall on how to stop a four-time MVP like Rodgers,

"That's another dragon!" Marshall said. "How you slay that dragon?”

"You just gotta keep some ayahuasca on hand," Allen said as he and Marshall shared a laugh, via a short clip from I AM ATHLETE.

But the jokes can only last for so long. The Bills will need to find more ways to stop Rodgers like they did in the 27-17 win over Green Bay last season.

However, Rodgers now joins a Jets team that split the season series with Buffalo in 2022. New York quarterback Zach Wilson and an elite defense stifled Allen and the Bills in a 20-17 win in Week 9. It's easy to project some increased difficulties for the Bills now that a legend has been added to the fold.
