Bills' Josh Allen Reveals Key to 'Slaying' Aaron Rodgers; Jets Trade Soon?

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen seems to think he needs to unlock more of Aaron Rodgers' hippy side if the Green Bay Packers star does end up in the AFC East with the New York Jets via trade.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has gotten more familiar with Aaron Rodgers this offseason, and maybe it could be paying off.

With the legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback potentially set to be traded to the New York Jets seemingly at any moment this offseason, Allen appears to have the key to "slaying" his new would-be AFC East rival.

Talking with former AFC East mainstay Brandon Marshall, a six-time Pro Bowl receiver who played two seasons apiece with the Jets and Miami Dolphins, Allen jokingly hinted that the way to stop Rodgers is to persuade him with (more) psychedelics.

"That's another dragon!" Marshall said. "How you slay that dragon?”

"You just gotta keep some ayahuasca on hand," Allen said as he and Marshall shared a laugh, via a short clip from I AM ATHLETE.

A hippy like Rodgers - who recently went on a offseason hiatus to Who Knows Where - certainly hasn't been shy about his psychedelic use, as he used the ancient plant-based drug last summer during a trip to Peru.

"We sat three different nights with the medicine," Rodgers said during an interview with NBC Sports' Peter King in Aug. 2022. "I came in with an intention of doing a lot of healing of other relationships and bringing in certain people to have conversations with."

"A lot of healing went on. I think it’s unlocked a lot of my heart."

Healing? Maybe Allen's plan could backfire on him and the Bills.

After Rodgers and the Packers had one of their more forgettable campaigns this past season, failing to win the NFC North for the first time since 2018, some more healing could be exactly what he needs to have a bounce-back year next season, potentially getting a fresh start with the Jets.

Regardless of what happens, the Allen-Rodgers friendship/rivalry continues to be entertaining to watch - especially when psychedelics are involved.
