NFL, Cardinals Fans React to Quarterback Moves

The Arizona Cardinals are moving on from Colt McCoy and keeping Kyler Murray on PUP.

The Arizona Cardinals made a handful of impactful moves on Monday morning, one expected and the other more on the surprising side of things.

The team first reportedly will not be activating Kyler Murray from the PUP list ahead of tomorrow's deadline, meaning he will miss the first four weeks of the season.

Some believe it gives more time for Call of Duty:

Week 5 is the earliest he can return, which may be a godsend for Cardinals fans given their tough slate to begin the season.

Some believe we're about to witness a tank job of epic proportions.

The Cardinals soon after released Colt McCoy, who many believed was the leader in the clubhouse to fill in for Murray while he recovered.

It's a full rebuild in Arizona.

McCoy - who had elbow surgery in the offseason and didn't throw much in training camp - didn't particularly perform well to win the job.

Some say it was destined to happen if the Cardinals were to progress.

Now, the Cardinals will see an open competition for the starting job between Josh Dobbs and Clayton Tune. Dobbs was acquired via trade late last week while Tune has played fairly well in his three preseason performances.
