Round 6, Pick 213: West Virginia DT Dante Stills

The Cardinals conclude their 2023 NFL Draft class with the addition of West Virginia DT Dante Stills.

Stills can play a few different spots along the defensive line, and is (stop us if you heard this before) athletic - he ran a 4.85 40-yard dash at 6-5 and 286 pounds. Finished first-team all-conference even though his production dipped from 2021.

Round 6, Pick 180: Louisville CB Kei'Trel Clark

The Cardinals double dip at cornerback with their second to last pick of the draft in Lousiville's Kei'Trel Clark, who had a top 30 visit with the team. He can be considered undersized but extremely athletic, as his 10-yard split of 1.49 was among some of the best in this class.

Round 5, Pick 168: Auburn LB Owen Pappoe

The Cardinals conclude the fifth round with the selection of Auburn LB Owen Pappoe, another in the long line of "high football" character picks by Monti Ossenfort. Though a bit undersized, Pappoe is (again, a theme here on Day 3) athletically inclined despite being a bit undersized for the position.

Round 5, Pick 139: Houston QB Clayton Tune

The Cardinals add to their quarterback room with the addition of Clayton Tune, who will compete to be a backup in a quarterback room with Colt McCoy, David Blough and Jeff Driskel while Kyler Murray recovers from a torn ACL. Tune (6-3) has ideal size for the position with a bit of athletic upside to him.

Round 4, Pick 122: UCLA OL Jon Gaines II

Gaines II is a versatile OL that logged snaps at center, guard and tackle during his time at UCLA. Very athletic but will need to bulk up.

His NFL.com Scouting Profile

"Move-blocking guard whose athleticism doesn’t guarantee consistent body control or balance in his play. Gaines is highly intelligent with a clear understanding of his duties on every snap. His hand placement can be a little sloppy, which diminishes his block sustain in the run game. While Gaines moves well as a run blocker, he struggles to stay under control and in front of opponents while mirroring. Gaines has the mental makeup coaches will like, but he needs to upgrade his protection technique and improve his core strength. He has backup guard/center potential."

Day 3 is here! As of now, the Cardinals have the following picks:

Round 4 (122, from Dolphins through Chiefs through Lions)

Round 5 (139, from Broncos through Lions)

Round 5 (168, compensatory; from Cardinals through Lions)

Round 6 (180)

Round 6 (213, compensatory)

Day 2 Recap

Round 2, Pick 41: LSU EDGE BJ Ojulari

Again trading back, the Cardinals dropped from 33 to 41 and still managed to get "their guy" in LSU edge defender BJ Ojulari, a versatile pass rusher that can help replace the losses of Zach Allen and J.J. Watt.

Round 3, Pick 72: Syracuse CB Garrett Williams

In the trade with the Titans earlier on Day 2, the Cardinals were able to move up a few spots in the third round and took a flyer on Garrett Williams, a Syracuse corner who's talent was only overshadowed by his injury. If he can return to full strength, Arizona believes they may have gotten the steal of Day 2.

Round 3, Pick 94: Stanford WR Michael Wilson

The Cardinals eventually traded out of pick 96 but stick with 94 and drafted Stanford Michael Wilson, a Cardinal team captain who can provide solid depth to an Arizona receiving corps that can undoubtedly use more of it.

Day 1 Recap

Round 1, Pick 6: Ohio State OL Paris Johnson

The Cardinals dealt picks 3 and 12 to eventually land at 6, where they took Paris Johnson Jr., highly regarded as one of the best offensive linemen in the draft. The Ohio State product looks contribute right away at either guard or tackle.
