Cardinals Open to Trading Top Pick in NFL Draft

The Arizona Cardinals could possibly make the move down from the third overall pick, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The entire NFL world is on display here for the 2023 NFL Combine, though business off the field is being conducted.

The Arizona Cardinals - who currently hold the third overall - are very open to phone calls for their draft position says NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.

"Another interesting spot: No. 3 for the Arizona Cardinals. We may get quarterback-quarterback, bang-bang, one-two putting the Cardinals in a perfect position. Could they take the best position player on the board - maybe it's Will Anderson who will put a show behind me today - that's a possibility," said Rapoport.

"New general manager Monti Ossenfort also was pretty clear: He's open for business as well. They're gonna be prepared to pick ... could that be for sale as well? Could we get quarterback-quarterback-quarterback 1-2-3? That is going to be fascinating to watch over the course of the next couple months."

Should the Cardinals stay, prospects such as Alabama's Will Anderson or Georgia's Jalen Carter could be the pick.

When he spoke at the NFL Combine on Tuesday, Ossenfort said: “We are prepared to select a player with our pick. With that said, we will listen to offers," while adding nobody has called just yet for the pick.

With just under two months to go until the NFL Draft, that's going to change fairly quickly after everybody departs Indianapolis.
