Fantasy: Rams QB Matthew Stafford is Must Start vs Cardinals

In this story:
ARIZONA -- Both the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams are putting final touches on their game-plan ahead of their Week 6 meeting at SoFi Stadium, and so too are fantasy football managers.
Whether you're 1-4 like yours truly and desperately need a win or you're sitting high atop your league, we're now entering the stretch of fantasy football schedules where trades are flying and bye weeks are fully underway.
Regardless of your position in the standings, you're likely looking for moves to ensure a win comes your way in Week 6.
When it comes to quarterbacks - Rams passer Matthew Stafford finds himself in must-start territory if he's on your roster.
Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke lists the following reasons why Stafford should be plugged into the lineup:
- Stafford ranks sixth in PFF passing grade this season.
- He also ranks in the top five in dropbacks this season but has the third-lowest touchdown rate.
- Stafford didn’t have Cooper Kupp for the first four weeks. Kupp has scored a touchdown in more than half of his games with Stafford at quarterback. He is back in a full-time role now.
- The Rams' schedule has also been the NFL's most difficult this season.
- The Rams in Week 6 play the Arizona Cardinals, who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.
- Arizona has let up 7.8 yards per passing attempt this season — the fifth-worst mark in the NFL.
- Stafford should have more success in this game than in previous weeks, which makes him a fantasy starter.
Stafford will be going against a Cardinals defense that ranks No. 26 in yards allowed per game with 375.6, 250 of which comes through the air.
Arizona - after getting absolutely torched by the Cincinnati Bengals - tout Marco Wilson, Antonio Hamilton and Kei'Trel Clark as their top three boundary corners. Their 72% completion percentage allowed to quarterbacks thus far ranks 29th.
Can the Cardinals rebound against the likes of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua? After last week, it's understandable to hold your breath.
As a fantasy quarterback, Stafford has scored at least 20 points in three of five games thus far. With Kupp back in the fold against a weak Arizona pass defense still without Budda Baker, Stafford absolutely appears to be a great fantasy option for Week 6.
