Former Cardinals DE J.J. Watt, Wife Investing in Premier League Team

In this story:
Football is by far the most popular sport in the United States, and players such as Arizona Cardinals DE J.J. Watt knows all too well that American football and what the rest of the world deems "actual" football are two completely different entities.
Watt's interest and passion for European football has been well documented. He's a massive Chelsea fan and overall enjoyer of the English Premier League. Wife Kealia plays in the NWSL, too.
Now, the two announced they are investing as minority owners in Burnley Football Club, who are set to rejoin the Premier League in 2023-24. The stake purchased is undisclosed.

“I think there’s a lot of people in America who are kind of in that spot right now. There’s so much buzz around the Premier League right now, people who are just starting to watch but don’t necessarily have that one team they want to follow. My goal, and Kealia’s goal, is to try to make Burnley that team for them," Watt said via Sports Business Journal.
“I believe to go on a journey with this club and these supporters, you have to be invested with them. You can’t just be a paid endorser for the side, you have to be feeling these emotions and riding the highs and lows with them. That’s what makes this such an awesome opportunity.”
Americans have followed the success of Ryan Reynolds' Wrexham FC takeover, are we bound to see something similar on a smaller scale?
