*UPDATE: Tom Peliserro says an MRI already confirmed the ACL tear. Trevon Diggs will be done for the season.*

Dallas Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs is set to receive an MRI after injuring his leg at practice today, and it appears he'll miss Sunday's contest against the Arizona Cardinals.

From Pro Football Talk:

"Reporters at the Cowboys facility for Thursday’s practice noted that Diggs suffered an injury during the session, which was held outside on grass, and that he was seen on crutches while leaving practice. The team says that Diggs hurt his knee and the cornerback will be having an MRI as they evaluate the injury."

ESPN's Ryan Clark added that, "Trevon Diggs is a major part of the Dallas Cowboys... huge, huge loss for Dan Quinn."

Diggs has already established himself as one of the premier corners in the NFL, and that was made even more clear when the Cowboys inked him to a five-year, $97 million deal this offseason.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport are adding that the Cowboys fear Diggs tore his ACL.

"While #Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs gets an MRI on his knee, the concern is his ACL based on initial tests, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. If the MRI confirm it's torn, would be a significant blow to maybe the NFL's best defense," wrote Rapoport in a follow-up tweet.

The injury reportedly took place during one-on-one drills on Thursday.

"Obviously they have No. 11 and they have No. 90 as well, DeMarcus Lawrence. They have two really good rushers in their secondary. They have guys that have been there for a while. I know they just added [Stephon] Gilmore, but you obviously have [Trevon] Diggs who is elusive in the secondary, you have to know where he is," said Cardinals QB Josh Dobbs yesterday.

"They just have a really good personnel that's played a lot of football in Dallas that's played in that scheme. They've gelled well together for a couple of years now."

As of now, the Cardinals are 12.5 point underdogs to Dallas.
