The Arizona Cardinals could face Jonathan Taylor twice per season if he joins the Los Angeles Rams.

The Arizona Cardinals have been a circled destination for current Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor for months now, as multiple outlets have suggested Taylor's arrival to the desert would be beneficial for both sides.

That's not likely to happen, nor did it ever seem like a real possibility.

However, another NFC West team in the Los Angeles Rams are reportedly showing interest in the All-Pro running back.

According to a report from Colts Reporter Destin Adams, the following teams have expressed interest in Taylor:

Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders

The Rams recently traded Cam Akers to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a late pick swap in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Los Angeles (1-2) is averaging 3.4 yards per carry as a team. Current RB1 Kyren Williams is averaging 3.6 yards per touch with three rushing touchdowns thus far. Even without Cooper Kupp - who is currently on injured reserve - the Rams still favor moving the ball through the air.

Perhaps the addition of Taylor will help turn the tide, though one source told Adams they want him to remain with the franchise:

"We want him (Jonathan Taylor) to be a Colt for life. I think this entire situation has been blown out of proportion. We hope to get him on the field very soon, and to see him play his best football to date. Contract extension talks normally flow naturally after that."

Taylor began the season on the PUP list with an ankle injury, though he's been adamant on refusing to play for Indianapolis without a contract extension. Taylor is on the final year of his rookie deal and will become a free agent in 2024.

The Cardinals will play the Rams on the road in Week 6 before later hosting them in Week 12.
