The Los Angeles Chargers enter their game against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend with a record of 2-2 and will be coming off their bye week. It turns out that the bye week was needed, as it seems that the Bolts could be getting some ample reinforcements for this game, and they are very happy about that.

“Running back Austin Ekeler described himself as a full participant in practice Tuesday and said he’s “99%” certain that he’ll return Monday night when the Chargers play Dallas at SoFi Stadium.”

Per Jeff Miller of The LA Times

Getting Ekeler back for this contest would vastly improve the chances of the Chargers winning this game. He gives them a true weapon out of the backfield, and their running attack has slowed up considerably since he went down with injury.

He also gives them the option to use him in the passing game as well. LA may need to rely on quick screen passes against this tough Dallas front seven, so Ekeler could be very active in this matchup.

In addition, it seems that LA will be getting some other big players back as well.

“Along with Ekeler, starting safeties Derwin James Jr. (hamstring) and Alohi Gilman (heel), reserve tight end Donald Parham Jr. (wrist) and backup cornerback Deane Leonard (hamstring) were on the field.”

Per The LA Times

The Bolts seem to be getting healthy at the right time, and they will need all the help they can get against this Cowboys team. They can't afford to drop this game, especially with it being at home.

Los Angeles needs to start putting together a winning streak if they want to get back to the postseason, and this could be a game to help propel them. They get the Kansas City Chiefs next week, so getting above .500 entering that game would go a long way.

If they come in prepared, they should be in good shape to grab the win. But they have tended to play down to competition in the past, so this will certainly be a good to watch.
