Around this time last season, the Los Angeles Chargers were making noise in free agency and brought in talented cornerback JC Jackson coming off of his best season with the New England Patriots. LA envisioned Jackson being a huge part of their defense following a year where they barely missed the playoffs after a loss to the Raiders in the final regular season week.

Jackson agreed to a 5-year, $82.5 million contract and along with the signing of Khalil Mack, it looked like defense would be the last thing the Chargers had to worry about in 2022. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old was ruled out for the entire season before he could really even get rolling after a non-contact knee injury against the Seattle Seahawks.

It was just LA's seventh game of the year and Jackson was already done for after it was revealed that he ruptured his patellar tendon.

While this was super scary and any injury to an ultra-athletic player like Jackson proves to be a major red flag moving forward, it appears that the former Super Bowl champion is already reaching milestones in his recovery process.

Jackson shared a video of him jogging on a treadmill on his Instagram story and has fans super excited to see his road back to the football field.

Jackson is seen working up a sweat in the training room and decked out in all Chargers gear. He is taking his rehab very serious and multiple workers within the organization have talked about how he is not satisfied with how he was playing for LA prior to going down.

When Jackson is healthy again, he is looking to play more like his 2021 self where he posted 58 tackles with eight interceptions and was regarded as one of the best at his position. In the 5 games he suited up for the Chargers, he only recorded 13 tackles.

With all the moves LA's front office has made so far in this year's free agency, some may forget that they still have a hungry cornerback returning in Jackson. He will definitely be ready to prove why the Chargers locked him in for five years.

Fans had plenty of celebrating to do in Jackson's replies.
