Chargers News: Justin Herbert Finally Reacts to Jim Harbaugh Hire

The Chargers QB1 is fired up for his new head coach.

A new era in Charger football is upon us.

The 2024 football year couldn't get here faster enough, as the excitement surrounding the Los Angeles Chargers is palpable. The Chargers have been the talk of the offseason due to the hiring of head coach Jim Harbaugh

Harbaugh has brought a ton of buzz to the Bolts organization, and there is a ton of hope surrounding the team. The 60-year-old coach is set to change the culture around the team. He's brought in an entirely new staff with him. Although there could be a ton of new Bolts this upcoming season, one constant will be their superstar quarterback, Justin Herbert. Herbert is set to embark on this new journey alongside Harbaugh and can't wait to work with his new head coach.

Herbert appeared on former teammate Chase Daniel's podcast alongside Trey Wingo and expressed excitement about his new head coach.

“I was fired up. He’s done such a great job at the NFL level, college level; he’s had success everywhere he goes. He’s a competitor, he wants to win and I’m really excited to play for him.”

Daniel's also asked Herbert how their first conversation went.

“Just talking about the offense. His vision for what the team looks like offense, defense. I know this is their busy time dealing with the combine… From the times I’ve talked to him he seems like a competitor, he wants to win and that’s definitely a guy you want to play for.”

Harbaugh has elevated the play of every single one of the quarterbacks he's coached.

Herbert is, without a doubt, the most talented quarterback he will ever coach. The 25-year-old quarterback has all the tools to be the best quarterback in the league. The only thing he was missing was an elite coach beside him. He certainly has that now, and 2024 should be the year we see Herbert make a leap and propel himself into that conversation.

The duo of Herbert and Harbaugh should be among the elite coach-quarterback duos we will see this upcoming season.
