Chargers News: NFL All-Pro Includes Keenan Allen in List of Leagues Top Route Runners
Los Angeles Chargers Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen still got game. Although he isn't a young buck anymore, his play has not yet faded away, and hopefully, that doesn't happen anytime soon.
The veteran receiver is still garnering high praise, and none may be higher than one of the best wide receivers in the league, Vikings All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
Jefferson listed his top five route runners in the league today. To no one's surprise, he named himself number one, along with Raiders star receiver Davante Adams. However, he went on to put Allen at number three on his list.
The two other receivers he named after Allen are Bills Stefon Diggs and Bengals Ja'Marr Chase.
This clip below should be enough to convince you he's one of the top, if not the top, route runners this game has to offer.
It's been like this from the start, and Allen is a tough cookie to keep an eye on when you have him making defenders look foolish when guarding him.
The thing with Allen is that it all starts in the beginning; he aims at winning at the line of scrimmage, and more times than not, he does. Allen has a variety of moves that he uses to juke the defenders, and his favorite is the one-two; he uses the inside to gain some leverage, and by the second move, he's off to the races.
Route running isn't easy, but Allen makes it seem that way, and we cannot wait to see him do more of that this season.
