Chargers Insider Provides Close Look at When Joey Bosa May Have Suffered Hamstring Injury

In this story:
As the Los Angeles Chargers entered the new season, they were hopeful that things would be different this year. They wanted to prove that they belonged in the conversation with the other elite teams in the AFC, and they wanted health to be on their side.
While it’s only been one week, and there is plenty of time left, both of those things have gone against them. The Bolts dropped their opening game at home to the Miami Dolphins, and they are now dealing with multiple injuries before their game against the Tennessee Titans.
One of those injuries comes from defensive edge rusher Joey Bosa, and his status for the game against the Titans remains up in the air. He is dealing with a hamstring injury that could force him out of the game Sunday. You can see exactly when Bosa may have suffered the injury below.

If he is forced to miss time, it would be a massive loss for this Chargers team. Bosa is one of the leaders on the Bolts defense, and he forces opposing offenses to account for his presence at all times.
His ability to get off the line of scrimmage with speed to disrupt the backfield is among the best in the league, so it would put them at a disadvantage on defense. Losing Bosa, even for the Titans game, would be massive because the Chargers are coming off a rough defensive showing against Miami.
They need their guys to step up this week to help get the win, but if Bosa isn’t there, then it will fall on others to step up. Either way, the defense must prove its worth this week against Tennessee; otherwise, they will face another week of criticism.
The hope is that Bosa will be able to give it a go, but with a hamstring injury, you can’t be too careful. The last thing the organization wants is for this injury to get worse or linger throughout the season, so we could see them being cautious with him.
