Chargers News: Brandon Staley Talks Bolts’ Upcoming Trade Deadline

In this story:
The Los Angeles Chargers have a great team on paper, but things haven't materialized for a team with championship hopes for the 2023 season.
Now, all hope isn't lost as the NFL trade deadline is upon us, giving teams a chance to improve their team in a multitude of ways if they plan to do so. The Chargers, if they plan to make moves, can do just that before Tuesday's trade deadline. A lot of eyes will be on the Charger front office as we'll see how aggressive they'll be for players on the block.
Bolts head coach Brandon Staley talked about their strategy just ahead of the trade deadline.
“Just like every season, we’ll be with the other 31 teams trying to do what’s best for our team,”
“We know the quality that we have,” he said during a pointed question-and-answer session. “We have seen it in spurts. The way that the season has started hasn’t been what many would have envisioned on our team, but it doesn’t take away from the belief that we have in us making it happen. I think that those of us that are here on a day-to-day basis understand that better than those who aren’t.”

The Chargers' needs are clearly in the tight end position, as they could use some depth there and on the defensive side of the ball, specifically the secondary. Now, whether players in those positions will be up grabs is a different story.
We won't know till Tuesday, but it's clear the Bolts are nowhere near where they want to be, and it's crucial for them to make a move if they want to make a serious run this season.
It won't be the end of the world, but at the same time, it's no secret LA needs to improve one way or another, and the deadline could be the only real chance to do so.
