Your Los Angeles Chargers have turned the page on their upsetting 20-10 primetime loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and are now focusing on AFC East opponent, the New England Patriots.

The Bolts will look to end their three-game losing streak and get back on the right track with six games left in the season. Sunday was a tough one to swallow, considering the missed opportunities the team left out there.

In every game, win or lose, there are a ton of "why didn't he do this" or "why didn't he do that" moments that fans, pundits, or even reporters ask themselves. LA's game from Sunday wasn't different, as the reporters hammered head coach Brandon Staley on the decision not to bring back rookie wide receiver Quentin Johnston.

Johnston exited the game sometime in the second half due to a rib injury. However, Staley wasn't clear whether it was a coaching or medical staff decision. Instead, he said, "It wasn't that he couldn't go back in the game, it's just we didn't feel like through the flow of the game with where he was at that it was the right thing for him to go back in the game."

Staley said that comment on Sunday after the game; however, the aging didn't stop there; on Monday, reporters brought up his "flow of the game" comment for clarity, and here's what he said.

“What I meant about the flow of the game is that he had an injury that we didn’t feel like within the flow of the game, where him going into the game was going to give us that best chance,” Staley said. “We didn’t feel like he was 100 percent, and it’s just at the end of the game we felt comfortable with the guys that ended up playing. But not an indictment on Quentin at all, and no storyline there at all.”

Whatever the case was, it was clear Johnston wouldn't have made a difference, as tough as it is to say. All season long, we've been waiting for the rookie to come into his own, and nothing has manifested.

The 22-year-old has looked like a bust so far through his rookie season, only collected 21 receptions for 190 yards and one touchdown. He's had no effect on a game this season and has done nothing to help out Justin Herbert and the wide receiver room.

Whether it was a coaching or a medical decision, Johnston, even at 100%, has not been the game changer the franchise and its fans had hoped he'd be.

Nonetheless, we hope this rib injury isn't severe, and he'll be ready to prove himself this Sunday against New England.
