Chargers News: Chiefs Columnist Rewards Bolts With Top WR Core in Division

In this story:
The Los Angeles Chargers will go into the 2023 season with many goals in mind, and one of them will be to dethrone their division rival Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs have dominated the AFC West for the past seven seasons, and LA is destined for that to change starting this upcoming season. It will be a tall task as the Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions and are showing no signs of slowing down.
Kansas City seems to have LA's number, winning the past four out of six matchups, but LA may have the edge in the wide receiver groups in 2023.
Chiefs wire columnist Logan Lazarczyk created a ranking of the wide receiver cores in the AFC West and listed the Bolts at number one.
Los Angeles may not possess a superstar wideout like other teams do in this division, but they’ve got one of the deeper rooms.
Allen and Williams will most likely miss at least a couple of games this upcoming season, and Johnston could be the main benefactor. Joshua Palmer and Jalen Guyton round out the Chargers’ receivers. Both have played substantial snaps in the last two seasons, and those are great options as a team’s WR4 and WR5.
An interesting fact about the Chargers receivers — all of them are 6-foot-1 or taller, giving opposing defenses plenty of issues, especially in the red zone.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, landed last on the list and deservedly so.
There is no doubt that the Chargers have the best WR core in the division and maybe in all of football. Keenan Allen and Mike Williams will be the driving forces for LA's success or downfall in 2023. This duo must stay healthy if they want any shot at making a deep playoff run.
It doesn't stop there with that duo. The Chargers also added one of the most explosive deep threats in the draft, rookie Quentin Johnston. Johnston plays a similar role as Williams but is also versatile besides being a deep ball threat. Add in two veterans who've been with the team for a while, Jalen Guyton and Joshua Palmer, and you got yourself the deepest WR room in the league.
We can't wait to see Justin Herbert sling the ball to these guys all season long. it's going to be fun to witness.
