Chargers News: NFL Insider Believes Division Rival will Draft LA's Top RB Choice

In this story:
Within the AFC West that the Los Angeles Chargers are a part of, you also have the obvious heavy hitter franchise in the Kansas City Chiefs. Everything runs through them as of now and they're the obvious giant LA must take down. The Denver Broncos finished last in the division in 2022 and, despite some promising young talent, are still some time away from competing again.
Then you have the Las Vegas Raiders, of course. They have their shiny-new stadium, a new quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo, and a handful of former Chargers. Since 2020, the Bolts have won three out of their six matchups and the rivalry only continues to heat up as both franchises look to take over.
However, there is a way that the silver and black can hurt LA and it would be long before they face off against each other in the 2023 regular season. It is pretty clear that one of the Chargers' ideal selections with their 21st pick in the first round is Bijan Robinson. He is easily one of the best prospects at that position and considering how LA's RB spot is unstable right now, he looks like a great fit.

However, Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon believes Las Vegas could shock the world and steal Robinson from the Chargers with their seventh pick.
"The Las Vegas Raiders are already quite famous (if not infamous) for their draft-night surprises, and they've always loved their offensive skill position players. Now, in the No. 7 spot, you have to wonder if they might again break from convention and go with a potential generational talent at a position that rarely sees the first round in this day and age.
"Coming off back-to-back monster seasons at Texas, running back Bijan Robinson certainly has the build, speed, elusiveness and resume to become a super-high-impact offensive weapon for years to come, and he can make an immediate difference for a team that likely fancies itself ready to compete with new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo."

Never put it past the Raiders to make a move that nobody sees coming. If they were to this, it would only fire up LA even more heading into 2023.
