There are not many storylines going on right within the NFL that are more interesting to watch than the potential D.J. Fluker comeback. He has been taking the internet by storm with his journey back to the league.

Chargers fans likely recall his first few seasons with the squad that left a poor taste in their mouth. He was taken with the 11th overall pick in the 2013 draft and was viewed as someone that could uplift their offensive line. However, he failed to come close to his sky-high expectations.

Even though he hasn't been involved with an NFL franchise to some degree since before the 2021 season, Fluker looks poised to make an impact on a roster right now. his physical improvements look phenomenal and he appears ready to fulfill some of that previous potential.

Fluker has not been relevant in a while and even when he played some seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and New York Giants, his production was not anything that made a huge difference. Fans have been questioning where he's been.

As of late, he's been working day and night to get himself ready for when an NFL team calls him in and he's drawing interest from a number of them, including the Chargers themselves. Fluker recently responded to a fan who questioned why his career went downhill.

"I’m kinda confused… was he injured or something? Dude always been pretty solid, and he is now shredded. Sooo, I’m lost," said the fan.

"I got hurt came back I only missed one year of ball I was in p squad you can look it i have played every where I went," said Fluker.

In his first appearances in front of NFL scouts at Alabama's Pro Day, he was dominating the college athletes that also participated.

The next step would obviously be to follow up these performances by showcasing his new athleticism and speed in official workouts with teams. However, he appears ready and he stated that he just wants to be back on a squad.

"I’m excited. I’m excited to see what happens," said Fluker. "I got a lot of interest. A lot of people are glad to see me back playing. Offensive linemen, they are very hard to come by at this moment. I think the time away really told me who my friends are, who the people who cared about me as a person were. I think that really showed me a lot. And I was going through a hard time mentally." (Via The Michael Blake Show)
