Quinnen Williams' Agent Nicole Lynn Celebrates Blockbuster Cowboys Extension

The Dallas Cowboys' defensive overhaul was in full swing during the offseason, with defensive coordinator Christian Parker bringing in a new batch of players to fit into his versatile scheme.

But even before Parker got his hands on the defense, the Cowboys were rebuilding the defense and culture, acquiring Quinnen Williams at the NFL trade deadline.

Williams brought All-Pro credentials to Dallas' defensive front, and now he is here long term.

On Monday, the Cowboys and Williams agreed to a blockbuster three-year, $105.9 million contract extension, with $101 million in guaranteed cash. Right before his deal was announced, Williams' agent, Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports, foreshadowed and celebrated the deal.

In his seven games with the Cowboys last season, Williams recorded 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 33 quarterback pressures, and two tackles for a loss. It was clear that he was going to be the anchor for the Cowboys' defense, and he was rewarded.

Williams' agent, Nicole Lynn, celebrated the deal by shouting out Brinks.

Not only does Williams' $105.9 million deal include $101 million guaranteed, but Williams also receives $63.35 million at signing. His $35.3 million annual average ranks second among defensive tackles across the league.

When speaking about Williams, Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones made it clear that Williams was a leader in the locker room, and someone the team values moving into the future.

"One, let's talk about what he does on the practice field," Jones said, via ESPN. "I mean he's a great player and he's one of the hardest practicing guys out there. Anytime he lines up, you feel him. He doesn't take anything for granted, doesn't say, 'Hey, I got this.' [It's,] 'Let my play do the talking when we play a game.' You see it. He's the best player on the field whenever he's out there. And so that was a big piece of it. And then the other thing is just what a man he is. He's a leader. We didn't have a lot of leadership on defense for the last couple of years. Now to have him and Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary, I think has really picked it up over there in terms of culture and the leadership."

With an impressive offseason and high hopes for the defense, it was crucial to sign Williams to a big deal, and now the team can look to the future with an All-Pro talent in the center of its defense.
