Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts Rally Again, Top Buffalo Bills in Overtime Thriller
The rain pouring down at Lincoln Financial Field will hardly be killing the smiles of Philadelphia Eagles fans as they head to parking lot with their team now boasting a 10-1 record.
Despite facing their second double-digit deficit of the week, the Eagles rallied once again in the second half on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills (6-6) thanks to the heroics of Jalen Hurts, who led Philly to a thrilling 37-34 overtime win.
The Eagles (10-1) trailed 17-7 at halftime before Hurts tossed three second-half touchdowns and ran in the game-winning score from 12 yards out in overtime.
Hurts went 18 of 31 passing for 200 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while posting 14 carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns. He found A.J. Brown (five catches, 37 yards), DeVonta Smith (seven catches, 106 yards) and Olamide Zaccheaus (one catch, 27 yards) for a touchdown each, all of which came in the second half.
Hurts didn't disappoint in the duel with Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who caused trouble for the Eagles defense both with his legs and his arm. He finished the game 29 of 51 passing for 339 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He added nine carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns.

Allen connected with Stefon Diggs (six catches, 74 yards) and Gabe Davis (six catches, 105) for a touchdown a piece while running back James Cook had 16 carries for 43 yards and six grabs for 57 yards.
Allen and the Bills held a 24-14 lead to start the fourth quarter, but Hurts tossed two touchdowns in the span of four offensive after Allen tossed an interception to James Bradberry to put Philly in front 28-24.
The Bills responded late, as Allen found Davis for what looked like the go-ahead seven-yard touchdown. But Hurts led an ugly game-tying drive that saw kicker Jake Elliott nail a 59-yarder to tie things at 31 with 20 seconds left.
The Bills took the 34-31 lead in overtime on field goal from Tyler Bass, but this wasn't enough to hold off the resilient Eagles. Hurts led a nine-play, 75-yard drive that ended with his game-winning run.
Hurts was technically responsible for two unfortunate turnovers in the first half that led to a pair of touchdowns for the Bills, who used the takeaways to score two first-half touchdowns.
Things were ugly early, and the Eagles were unsurprisingly met with boos. Bu they just continue to power through any adversity thrown their way, and remain in the driver's seat for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
The Eagles will have a chance to widen the gap when they host the San Francisco 49ers (8-3) in Week 13.
