The Jacksonville Jaguars have made their pick.

Selecting No. 27 in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Jaguars selected offensive tackle Anton Harrison.

Harrison joins Travon Walker, Devin Lloyd, Travis Etienne, K'Lavon Chaisson, Josh Allen, and Trevor Lawrence as the latest first-round jaguars.

You can never have too many quality offensive linemen, and Harrison is a solid depth option for a Jaguars offensive line that lost stalwart Jaawan Taylor to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in the offseason. At 6’4” and 315 pounds with 34 ⅛” arms and 9 ¼” hands, Harrison’s size projects to match well against NFL level defenders and with a 4.98 second 40-yard-dash, he certainly has the quickness and agility to match. Questions arise in pass blocking and consistency with leverage, but Harrison’s physical intangibles make him an intriguing talent.

A four-star recruit out of high school, Harrison went on to play three seasons with the Oklahoma Sooners. The 21-year-old was a one-time All-Big 12 Selection and appeared in 34 contests, mostly at the left tackle spot, with one start coming at right tackle in their 2022 season opener against UTEP.

The rest of the Jaguars selections are as follows.

  • 2nd: No. 56
  • 3rd: No. 88
  • 4th: No. 121 (via TB), No. 127
  • 5th: No. 160 (via NYG)
  • 6th: No. 185 (via NYJ), No. 202, No. 208 (via PHI)
  • 7th: No. 226 (via CAR), No. 240 (via NYG)

The only round the Jaguars do not have a pick in is the fifth-round, with the Jaguars giving up that selection in last fall's Calvin Ridley trade. Otherwise, the Jaguars have multiple picks in rounds four, six and seven, with three picks in the sixth round alone.
