Lions Expect Ford Field to Be Sold Out in 2023
Detroit Lions tickets are expected to be a hot commodity in 2023.
Coming off of a 9-8 record and a heavy amount of praise nationally, Ford Field will be a popular place to be in the fall, as the Lions look to make the playoffs for the first time in several years.
Team president Rod Wood, speaking with reporters at the annual league meetings, expressed sellouts are expected for all home games this upcoming season.
In 2023, the Lions will play eight home games and nine games out on the road.
Fans have clearly bought in, and are satisfied with the rebuilding process. Ninety-seven percent of season-ticket holders have renewed their membership.
"And then thousands and thousands of new season-ticket purchases, too," Wood said, via the team's social media channel. "So, ticket demand remains strong, which I think is because of the buzz about the team and the way we finished. I'm suspecting that we're going to have sellouts for every game this year, and that will create that same stress that we dealt with last year with parking and then getting in and out of the stadium."
The team is aware that the home-field advantage will be key in its push to win the NFC North division.
"You're trying to win every game, but ultimately, I think to take the next step, man, you're shooting for the division," said Lions head coach Dan Campbell. "Because you do that, you win the division, you get a home game and then the rest takes care of itself."
