NFL World Has Hilarious Response to Jack Campbell Viral Video
The NFL world was extremely impressed with the tackling ability of Megan Meyer, the fiance of Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell.
Detroit's second of two 2023 first-round draft picks recently posted a photo of his engagement to his long-time girlfriend.
An Instagram video that surfaced online showcased the rookie surfing and flexing during an outdoor excursion with Meyer.
As Campbell flexes, Meyer, who played collegiate basketball at Drake, launches off the boat and tackles the talented linebacker into the water.
Many took to social media to share their opinions and naturally made references to professional wrestlers spearing their opponent, similar to Goldberg and Roman Reigns.
Others shared slight concern regarding Campbell engaging in outdoor activities, while others joked that the Bears and Lions should look to sign an individual with great tackling potential, such as Meyer.
As for Campbell, he is entering his first NFL training camp, and is working to earn a starting job in Aaron Glenn's defense.
“It’s proven here,” linebackers coach Kelvin Sheppard told reporters. "I know it’s like the right thing to say, but it is proven. We are going to play the best players.
"We do not care what that looks like, and when that starts top down, it’s easy for me to walk into my linebacker room after we take a guy Pick 18. Because in probably 20 other rooms, that player’s starting, and there’s nothing you can do about it as a position coach. Well, that’s not the case here. If Jack isn’t the top two or three, Jack will continue to go through the process of rookie development until he’s hit that mark.”
