The Detroit Lions could be without one of the best up-and-coming centers in the NFL Sunday against the Jaguars.

Third-year pro Frank Ragnow popped up on Detroit's injury report with a groin injury on Wednesday.

It is believed that Joe Dahl would step in to fill the void left by Ragnow, if he is unable to suit up and play against Jacksonville.

Lions head coach Matt Patricia discussed in his pre-practice media session Friday his assessment of Dahl's performance this week in practice.

“We’ll see after another day today, but I thought on Wednesday with the pads on, I thought Joe (Dahl) looked pretty good," Patricia commented. "Came out, his pad level was good. I thought he moved well. That was a good, competitive practice for us. Yesterday, coming off of the padded practice, you know we do it probably a little bit slower from that standpoint. But, I thought he was doing a great job. So, we’ll get through another day today, and then go from there. But, he’s looked good so far.”
